I ran into Kathy this morning, but not the shrike. Though one mockingbird
out there along the rail line did make me do a double take. I worked my way
up the railbed, then down Yellowhouse Draw to the oxbow area and back for a
total round trip of 4 miles. Lots of good hawk activity, plenty of geese
overhead and white-crowned sparrows underfoot. I'll submit my ebird report
later, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Walked about 3 miles total upstream and downstream and no luck with
near the first big bend where the trail heads east towards loop 289.
Happy searching!
