Greetings All:
As the light was starting to fade, Sheri Anderson and I relocated the
Northern Shrike along the old railroad grade running northward from
the trestle below Lake Six. Shortly thereafter, with even less light
to work with, we encountered Jennifer Miller and Lena Zappia. All
four of us got satisfactory views of the bird and I got some bad
photographs (too little light). Sheri and I also had a Sage Thrasher
to the northwest of the fence that represents the northern end of the
trail.
We were not able to relocate the Gray Catbird that had been reported
from 'reeds' below the trestle.
It will be interesting to see what kind of impact tonight's little
front has on birds.
