Thanks for the report of the temporary birding site! Is there any place to
safely park or pull over to observe the dowitchers and other shorebirds? I
would love to see those! Thank you.

The airport reported 1.20 inches. On my way to work this morning, I
spotted a mixed flock of shorebirds in a flooded field along the TTU
Parkway (just west of TTU HSC) - 8 Killdeers, 5 Least Sandpipers, and
7 Long-billed Dowitchers. I have no idea what they were eating but
they were working the mud over.
I would suspect that similar sites in the area might be worth checking out.
