It’s nice when they come through in the spring wearing their spots. I had 3 at
Earl Crow Friday.
Take time to notice their size, shape, the way the white feathers curve up in
front of the wings, and especially the way they bob their tails when they land.
These are features that will help you to ID Spotteds when they return in winter
plumage sans spots.
