Greetings All:

Rich Kostecke ended April with 120 species of bird at Devine Lake and a
very damp May found him adding thirteen species to his list (Mississippi
Kite, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Baltimore Oriole, Eastern Wood Pewee, Yellow
Warbler, Common Nighthawk, Red-eyed Vireo, American Redstart, Cliff
Swallow, Magnolia Warbler, House Sparrow, Blackburnian Warbler, and
Golden-cheeked Warbler - in chronological order of addition), bringing him
up to 133 species at the site during 2015. The biggest problem at this
site during May was probably flood-related impact on full access.

Anthony Hewetson ended April with 123 species of bird at Clapp Park and an
incredibly (by Lubbock standards) damp May found him adding fifteen species
to his his list (Mississippi Kite, Blue Grosbeak, Bell's Vireo, Northern
Waterthrush, Willow Flycatcher, Broad-winged Hawk, American Bittern, Great
Egret, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Swainson's Thrush, Dickcissel, Bullock's
Oriole, Painted Bunting, Western Wood Pewee, and MacGillivray's Warbler -
in chronological order of addition), bringing him up to 137 species at the
site during 2015. The biggest problem at this site during May was
flood-related impact on the expected bounty of shorebirds - no shore, no
shorebirds.

June will probably be pretty slow at both sites but July should see, if
things don't get even wetter, another shot at shorebirds for both of us.
