Thanks Anthony for confirming. All credit goes to Priya Grace, adventure girl

Greetings All:
I have been in touch with Johnny Nelson already but that is a Long-tailed

What a remarkable fall/winter we are having.

Good Afternoon Group,
We just got back from a nice walk around Dunbar Lake (Shruti, Priya, and
I). With Priya in tow, birding was not our primary purpose, per se, but
when we first parked in the parking area, there was a bird out in the
middle of the lake that stumped me, even with binoculars. I got some photos
(none of them great) but it has me puzzled. Still sorting through what
possibilities it could be, but I figured I'd pool from the real experts,
too. I've posted the photos to iNaturalist for those who use it, and I'm
attaching one photo here that I'm hoping goes through:

I just didn't want a rarity to go unreported, especially so close to the
Christmas Bird Count. Happy birding!
