Greetings All:
As I walked into work this morning I spotted a Black-headed Grosbeak
in the large liveoaks in the quad and a Louisiana Waterthrush on the
bare ground beneath the oaks. After getting into the building I
spotted a Northern Waterthrush in the shrubs where the Green-tailed
Towhee was yesterday. These shrubs line the walls (glass to the
north, stone to the west) west of the stairs west of the main entrance
to the building.
I rarely see both waterthrush species on the same day - the difference
in the flaring of the superciliary lines is much more distinct when
the memory of one is fresh in one's mind:)
Various thrushes are still about as well as quite a few sparrows
including the continuing (probably) Green-tailed Towhee.
Regards; Anthony Hewetson
