So lucky to see these two together I wanted to share. The blue grosbeaks were
at Lubbock Landmark. If you drive up to the entrance to the soccer fields and
turn right, then turn right at the final fork, you will go down a road that
hits a dead end (white barrier). If you are facing the white barrier, these
birds were to the right in the shrubs just before the culvert and tall trees.
See the attached map with a pin on the bird location. They have a sharp "tink"
call like a cardnal that we could hear before we spotted them.
In the marsh along Landmark road there is an ibis and a green heron.
