Hi,
Yesterday, 9/27 about 10:30 am, I saw at least four buteos riding the thermals
(along with a couple turkey vultures), drifting generally southward. The
buteos all looked similar, though I could only get good looks with the
binoculars on two of them, which were juvenile broad-winged hawks. I say with
some confidence, then, that there were four broad-winged hawks.
