To get folks out of the house and SAFELY enjoying nature, and to make up for
the fact that Lubbock is not included in the Texas City Nature Challenge at
iNaturalist, we at South Plains Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists invite you
to join in a bioblitz at
https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/llano-estacado-spring-bioblitz-april-24-27.
Your iNaturalist observations made during that time period and within the area
covered -- somewhat larger than the geographic Llano Estacado -- will be
included AUTOMATICALLY in the bioblitz project.
Obviously, eBird is a preferable database for bird reports but iNaturalist
allows observations of all biological species larger than the microscopic to be
entered. If you have not tried iNaturalist this might be a good time.
