They might be Wilson’s Warblers.  American Goldfinches have black wings  I
believe Wilson’s Warbler’s have been seen this spring.

Thanks

Subject: [leasbirds] two male American Goldfinches

This from my mother, who has come late in life to enjoying birds at their
backyard bath:  “What are these?  Two birds, bit larger than a sparrow, black
on top of the head and bright yellow from there south.”
