nei due log (log e log.old) di XFree86 trovo in ripetizione questi tipi di
errore:

Questo mess vale non solo per .pcf ma anche per altre estensioni

Possono avere qualche senso per il problema di cui sotto?

A) Guarda nel log di XFree86 se c'è qualche notiia sul riavvio del
server grafico e poi negli altri log se riscontri anomalie.
B) Fermati ad osservare cosa succede fissando il monitor fino al timeout
e tenta di recuperare maggiori informazioni. Per la legge di Murphy non
dovresti riuscire a vedere niente in quanto se il PC si accorge che lo
stai fissando si vergogna e non riavvia X :-)
