There is a research position in an ongoing research project in Maharashtra.
Research work includes field work in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve and
adjoining landscapes.
Field work includes implementing a large scale camera trap survey, targeted
at a wide array of mammalian fauna (large carnivores in particular). Whole
area of Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve will be covered in different blocks.
The Position also involves radio collaring and tracking (of tiger and
leopard) in the reserve.
A masters degree is the minimum educational qualification required for the
position. This position is for a period of two years with a scope for PhD
work. Salary will be paid at JRF rates. An already established field
station awaits the new recruit.
