A very good friend of mine is working for Wildlife Conservation, and
they're launching an app in a couple of days to keep a check on wildlife
roadkills and other human-animal conflict, which will help obtain data to
find preventive solutions. This will be one of the first such apps in
India. Please spread the word amongst your friends, acquaintances and
people working in similar fields - special appeal to our Forest Campaigners.
Brief intro:
Road mortality is the greatest non-natural cause for vertebrate mortality
globally. ROAD WATCH is a citizen science initiative to report wildlife
road kills from across India (using an Android app), while raising
awareness & finding scientific solutions.
This is a Citizen Science Initiative by Wildlife Trust of India and David
Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and is envisioned as a collaborative effort by
several conservation organisations and individuals.
