Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to advise that the 2015 Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships
round is now open. The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are
competitive, merit-based scholarships that provide opportunities for
citizens of the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas to
undertake study, research or professional development in Australia and for
Australians to do the same overseas.
The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships aim to build Australia’s
reputation for excellence in the provision of education, support the
internationalisation of the Australian higher education and research
sectors, and offer high-achieving individuals from overseas and Australia
opportunities to increase productivity and expertise in their field.
Details of the various categories for both Australians and non-Australians,
including eligibility requirements, selection criteria, and the application
process are outlined in the attached guidelines. Additional information for
applicants can be found at www.aei.gov.au/endeavour.
Please note that as of the 2015 Round the Government will no longer be
offering the Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Endeavour Undergraduate
Scholarship for outbound recipients. Also the Australian postgraduate arm
of the Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Endeavour Scholarship has been
rebadged as the Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarships (outbound) and will be
opened to include all Endeavour Scholarship and Fellowships destination
countries, including non-Asia destinations. The category will remain
focused on providing opportunities for both coursework and research
students at postgraduate level for 6-24 months including the potential for
an internship.
The 2015 round will close at 11.59 pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time)
on *30 June 2014*. Applications must be submitted online via the Endeavour
Online Application
System<https://endeavouradmin.deewr.gov.au/ES/ESApplication/Security/Login.aspx>.
I would be grateful for your assistance with promoting the Endeavour
Scholarships and Fellowships to staff and students (both at UQ as well as
internationally).
