Indian students from under-represented groups
To: YETI <meet.yeti@xxxxxxxxx>

Please post this on the YETI email list. Many thanks.

With a hope to make conservation in India a much more accessible and
inclusive discipline a small group of us from different conservation
organisations in Bengaluru are designing and offering a 5 day module
<https://sccs-bng.org/pre-conference-module-on-conservation-science-and-practice/>
on
conservation science & practice for Indian students just before the
SCCS-Bengaluru
2019  <https://sccs-bng.org/>conference.

Last year's module covered various aspects of current conservation science,
research & practice via classroom sessions, case studies, critiques,
debates and short group projects. We tried our best to ensure that the
content was delivered in multiple languages representing the diversity of
students who attended.

The 15 selected participants will get a full scholarship (travel,
accommodation) to participate in the module, and full access to the
SCCS-Bengaluru 2019 conference.

The application process is now open. Deadline for application: 29 May 2019.

Please do share it among your networks and colleagues - we invite
applications from students of various under-represented groups. Detailed
information and the process to apply is in this link -
https://sccs-bng.org/pre-conference-module-on-conservation-science-and-practice/

Students with poor network and in remote areas can get in touch with us in
case they need any help with their applications.

Thank you for your help with this.

With best wishes,

(On behalf of the working group: Krishnapriya Tamma, Vena K, Abhinand
Reddy, Hari Sridhar, Vani Sreekanta, Vidyadhar Atkore, Nitin Rai, Samira
Agnihotri, Neyi Jamoh)
