Dear All,
IndiaBioscience <http://www.indiabioscience.org>has recently launched
a nationwide
survey

to assess the current status of independent life science researchers in
India. The aim of this survey is to create actionable insights about the
condition of independent investigators in India, which can then be used to
influence and shape the direction of policy, discourse, as well as our own
activities at IndiaBioscience.
We would be grateful if you can take some time out to participate in this
survey and let us know your valuable perspectives and suggestions. The
survey contains questions about the hiring and evaluation process,
receiving and providing mentorship, funding, infrastructure and
administrative support, and work environment.
*Your response is very important to us* and we feel that this dataset would
be a great resource to the Indian scientific community in the years to
come.
The survey can be accessed here:
https://bit.ly/FacultySurvey_IndiaBioscience. It contains both
multiple-choice and subjective questions and we estimate that it will take
about 20-30 minutes to fill. You can save your progress at intervals while
filling the form and return to it later.
We are looking forward to hearing your insights. Please note that this
particular survey is meant for scientists and principal investigators (PIs)
who lead their own labs (i.e. it is not designed to be filled by
postdoctoral fellows or PhD students). Please feel free to share this
widely with your colleagues in institutes and universities across India.
