About the Foundation
51A Wildlife Conservation and Research Foundation a non-profit organization
based in Chandigarh. The NGO is registered under Section 8 of the Companies
Act, 2013 and has been founded with the motive of upholding the
constitutionally provided fundamental duty 51A (g) 'To protect and improve
the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers, wildlife and to
have compassion for living creatures'. The NGO is dedicated to advancing
sustainability and conservation through creative solutions, community-based
research, and capacity-building initiatives.
*Job Opportunities**: *
*1- Field Assistant (** for conducting Reptile Survey) *
*Qualification*
路 M.Sc. in Zoology/Life Sciences/wildlife sciences/environment
sciences or any other related discipline having 75% or above score.
路 Must have sufficient knowledge related to herpetofauna surveys.
路 Must have minimum experience of 1 year in relevant field or subject.
路 Must have strong research, analytical and writing skills.
Location: Chandigarh, H.P , J&K UT , Punjab.
Salary: Rs. 22,000/Month + other field allowances.
Duration: 03 Months minimum can be extended subject to terms of project.
No. of position- 03
*2- Field Assistant**s (Forestry** background for conducting monitoring
exercise related to forestry plantations) *
Qualification
路 M.Sc. or above in Botany/Forestry/Life Sciences/environment or any
other related discipline having 75% or above score.
路 Must have knowledge of flora of western Himalayas, plant
identification
and other related aspects of Forestry.
路 Must have minimum experience of 1 year in relevant subject
路 Must have strong research, analytical and writing skills .
Location: On- field / Northern Himalayan state HP , Chandigarh and J&K UT.
Salary: Rs.22,000/month +other field allowances
No. of position - 05
*3- Field Interns**.*
路 B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Wildlife Sciences/
Environmental sciences/ or any other related discipline having 60% or
above score.
路 Strong writing & Communication skills
Location- On Field / Northern Himalayan state Punjab, Chandigarh, HP ,
J&K UT
Salary- 10,000/month plus field allowances.
Duration- 6 months
No. of positions- 10
