Dear Friends,

The Bombay Natural History Society is proud to announce for the first time,
a three-day workshop on 'Management Capacity Development Programme For
Environmental NGOs' This workshop is free and open only to the mid-level
employees of Environmental NGOs (eNGOs). The employees need to be nominated
by the Head of the Organisation. The programme is funded by U.S. Government
through Fulbright Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund and hosted by BNHS.

 The year long programme intends to train 250 employees from 125 eNGOs
across the country. The programme includes three-day management workshops
followed mentoring phase and concluding with a two-day follow up workshop.
All participating eNGOs will be enrolled on a network that will provide
continued technical support to the participants by the regional Fulbright
Alumni. The first of the series workshop was held in Mumbai. The second
workshop will be held in Bangalore.

The details are given below:

* Title:* Workshop on Management Tools for eNGOs- Bangalore

*Venue:* American Corner, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Race Course Road,
Bangalore- 560001,

*Dates:* 17th, 18th and 19th of October, 2012

*Time:* Everyday 9.00 a.m.- 6.00 p.m.

*Workshop Modules:* Three days covering topics such fund raising, grant
writing, project management, team management, volunteer management,
networking and PR, marketing management, leadership styles, developing
business plans and Strategic Planning.

*Workshop Format:* AV shows, Brainstorming, Hands on Activity for
individuals/groups and home assignments

*Resource Persons:* Dr. V.Shubhalaxmi, Programme
Co-ordinator/Trainer, Regional
Co-ordinator/Trainer Raju Arumugham Regional Co-ordinator South, Mr. Isaac
Kehimkar, Regional Co-ordinator/Trainer

*Eligibility criteria:* The programme is open only to employees of eNGOs
from Southern states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu,
Pondicherry, etc. Any eNGO with good track record and in operation for more
than five years can apply. The head of eNGO can nominate any two mid-level
employees who can be trained into management master trainers for the
organization. The participants should have experience of minimum 5 years of
service in the organization.

*Selection Process: *All participants need to fill in* *a common
application form for each organization. The application form could be
requested by sending an email to *engosindia@gmail. *A duly filled form
should be submitted via email. All applications will be scrutinized for the
above criteria and selected participants will be sent a confirmation.

*Workshop fee:* The enrollment for the programme is free however a nominal
fee of Rs.500/- is charged towards food/refreshments and study materials.
The payment is only required on confirmation of participation.

*Last date for application:* 1 October 2012
