Batch II: Bird Watching Workshop and camping in the lap of Himalayas
Organised by: Leafbird Foundation (www.leafbird.org)
Date: 21st May to 28th May 2017
Course Leader: Prof Aneel Bisht, an avid naturalist of the mountains
with a keen eye for mountain birds. She has not only designed the
workshop but is also teaching it for the past few years.
Venue: Wacham village, Uttarakhand. This is remote village, the last
bastion en route to the Pindari and Sundardhunga glaciers. Surrounded
by untouched thick forest the area is very rich in bird life.

The workshop is an introduction to birding which will involve theory
and field trips. The focus is on identification of birds and
understanding the different and fascinating aspects of birds. The
field trips will be very rewarding as there will be many birds to see.
The workshops are very interactive, fun and serve as a solid stepping
stone to a lifelong healthy hobby.
