Project: “Effects of Understorey Vegetation Patterns on Tree Carbon
Sequestration in Tropical Dry Deciduous Forest”
There is an immediate requirement of volunteers/interns for a project on
effects of understory vegetation on tree carbon sequestration in tropical
dry deciduous forest in LaCONES (CCMB) Hyderabad. The study is based in
Amrabad Tiger Reserve, Telangana, India. This project is a good opportunity
for forestry/ecology/botany students to learn research methods used in long
term monitoring plots.
*Basic Requirements for the opening:*
Candidates having an undergraduate degree in forestry, environment science
or any ecological field experience, a keen interest in plant ecological
research will be desirable.
-Should be willing to work hard in harsh summer condition.
-Candidates who are willing to invest longer period will be preferably
considered.
-Groups of three to four people will be well suited.
-Food and accommodation will be taken care.
