of India (WII), Dehradun.
Applicants with CSIR-JRF/UGC-JRF/INSPIRE/*Any Other Fellowship* and
interested in pursuing Doctoral Research (Zoology, Wildlife Science,
Biotechnology, Environmental Science and allied subjects) are invited for a
Research opportunity on “Conservation ecology of endangered Reticulated
Python *Malayopython reticulatus* in the Nicobar Archipelago, India” Study.
This opportunity will be an offshoot of an ongoing DST-SERB-funded Project
currently being undertaken by WII in Nicobar Archipelago. The interested

*Requirements:*
1. Selected for CSIR-JRF/UGC-JRF/INSPIRE/*Any Other Fellowship*
2. Interested in pursuing a research career in Wildlife Sciences with
a commitment of at least two years (or duration of the fellowship)
3. Candidates with keen interest and some experience in field
oriented wildlife/snake
research/ ecological assessments /systematic field sampling, good
analytical and molecular genetic aspects
4. Willingness to carry out extensive year-round fieldwork under
challenging conditions in Nicobar Archipelago
5. Experience in working with GIS and Remote Sensing tools, along with
a good grasp of quantitative statistics
6. Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work as a proactive
member of an interdisciplinary team
7. Proficiency in written and spoken English
8. *Candidates interested in pursuing PhD from the project are
encouraged to apply.*
