with Michelle Bekkering on April 7th (Thursday) from 6 pm to 7:30 pm
at ESV Hall, Bharatiya Vidyarthi Bhavan.
Michelle Bekkering was named the Top Global Woman in 2013
Michelle Bekkering serves as Director for Global Initiatives and
Senior Gender Advisor, International Republican Institute, USA. Under
Women’s Democracy Network (WDN), Bekkering oversaw the Institute’s
global initiative to empower women for greater participation in their
country’s public life - politics, governance, and peace and security
initiatives and implements programs designed to overcome those
challenges. Under Bekkering’s leadership, WDN expanded to more than
60 countries in every region of the world. She has previously worked
in the administration of President George W. Bush, serving in the
European and Eurasian Affairs Directorate of the National Security
Council led by Dr. Condoleezza Rice.
