Dear All,
*WWF India is looking for two-three Interns *guided by the Landscape Team
of Wildlife and Habitat Division.
Work location: *Valmiki Tiger Reserve (Bettiah, Bihar)*
Duration: *4-6 months*
Stipend: *Unpaid (in case of enrolled in any university or college) / Rs.
5000-8000 per month. **No amount would be paid towards TA and DA nor any
housing would be provided in case a candidate plans to relocate to the
internship location. *
*1. Objective *
To contribute in data collection of human wildlife conflict in and around
VTR and to conduct occupancy survey of wildlife occurrence in farmland in
and around the Tiger Reserve
*2. Scope of work*
- Collect and collate HWC information from villages/forest department
- Carryout occupancy survey of wildlife presence in farmland required for
site identification for HWC mitigation measures.
*3. Required profile*:
- Basic knowledge about wildlife and use of monitoring tool like GPS,
Camera traps
- Good oral and written knowledge of Hindi and English
- Knowledge of computers and basic software
- Ability to drive bike
Experience: *Entry Level*
Skills and Abilities:* Field research data collection, interaction with
community and forest staff, compilation of data into excel sheet*
