Dear Team YETI,
Could you please send the following to your mailing list?
It'd be a big help.
Thank you!

Hello,
My name is Renuka Kulkarni and I am a Ph.D. student at Rhodes University,
South Africa, currently based in Pune. My thesis is on the history of the
introduction and spread of invasive plant species in the northern Western
Ghats in India, and I am looking for 2-3 interns for a 2-month project in
Mahabaleshwar-Panchgani, as part of my data collection.

The interns will be required to stay in Mahabaleshwar/Panchgani for the
duration of the project (accommodation and basic living expenses such as
food and transport will be taken care of). The fieldwork will include daily
surveys of sampling sites to assess and map invasive plant species, and the
intern can also come up with a project of their own.

Upon completion of the internship, the interns will get a letter of
recommendation. A basic honorarium might also be possible, subject to
funding constraints.

Duration: March-April 2021

No. of positions: 2-3

Eligibility:
1) MSc/BSc final year students, preferably studying any disciplines in
Ecology/Biodiversity/Botany/Environmental Studies
2) Basic plant identification skills

If interested, please send me an email that includes:
1) Your updated CV
2) A brief note on why you’d like to work on this project, and/or projects
you have worked on before
3) Contact details of two referees
