IPCC Sixth Assessment Report on Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability
underscores how climate change is increasingly and disproportionately
affecting the most vulnerable. It emphasizes the urgent need for adaptation
and the critical need for solutions that cut across the sectors and systems
and address social inequities to enable a more climate-resilient future for
everyone. There is a need to analyse and deliberate on the pathways
required to achieve Net Zero commitments for the countries in the region
and also regional approaches to achieve climate commitments and
sustainable, inclusive economic growth. South Asia Region needs to give a
joint response to this challenge as many attributes are common to all
countries.
Integrated Research and Action for Development (IRADe), India, in
collaboration with Asia Regional Office, International Development Research
Centre (IDRC), is pleased to invite you to the Regional consultation on
Strengthening Climate Resilient Low Carbon & Inclusive Growth in Asia to be
held on 04th July 2022 at India International Centre, New Delhi, India. The
event will have participation from regional stakeholders, policymakers, and
researchers in the Asia region.
The event will be held in *hybrid* mode.
