Dear All,


Warm greetings from the School of Human Ecology (SHE), Ambedkar
University Delhi (AUD). We are pleased to invite you to Marginal
Ecologies: A Conference on Human Ecology organised in collaboration
with Project E-QUAL (Enhancing Quality, Access and Governance of
Undergraduate Education in India).


The conference is being organised on 27th, 28th February and 1st March
2015 at the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New
Delhi. The conference brings together scholars and practitioners
working at the interface of environment and society in particular
regions marginal to the Indian state, economy and academic knowledge
production.



Well-known journalist Mr. Nitin Sethi (Associate Editor, Business
Standard) will deliver the plenary lecture Energy, Environment and
Poverty: Interrogating Multiple Dilemmas on the afternoon of 27th
February 2015. A session of student presentations is scheduled on 28th
February to showcase the diversity of research interests and
activities being pursued at the School. On 1st March 2015, Project
E-QUAL at AUD is organising a workshop on Pedagogical Challenges in
Interdisciplinarity.

About the School of Human Ecology (SHE), Ambedkar University Delhi:


The School of Human Ecology is engaged with environmental issues with
an interdisciplinary perspective grounded in the promotion of social
justice & ethical relations with nature. The School offers an MA
programme in Environment & Development, whose aim is to foster
research and learning in areas at the intersection of human society,
non-human beings and the biophysical environment. It is also the first
to offer a doctoral programme in Human Ecology, a nascent discipline
which offers singular perspectives for studying the intersections of
human society, non-human beings and the biophysical environment.
