Kodaikanal International School’s Center for Environment and Humanity (KIS
CEH) uses its setting in the Palani Hills

identify regional and global environmental issues. We work with local
experts such as farmers, scientists, researchers, civic organizations, and
official agencies to identify solutions to issues facing our bioregion. KIS
CEH is hiring a Regenerative Agriculture Project Manager. The Project
Manager will support the design, development and implementation of the CEH
Regenerative Agriculture project reflecting inputs, outputs, and outcomes
outlined in the project proposal. The aim of the Regenerative Agriculture
project is to raise awareness, encourage behavior change, and empower
agricultural and rural communities to transition to sustainable and
resilient agricultural models which support the local biodiversity and
montane shola-grassland ecosystem. The first phase of the project is
to practice
and demonstrate regenerative agriculture on our 2 acre campus which
includes developing a food forest, seed bank, and native species nursery.
The purpose of the seed bank and nursery are to promote conservation and
biodiversity of flora of the Palani Hills. A food forest, also called a
forest garden, is a diverse planting of edible plants that attempts to
mimic the ecosystems and patterns found in nature. Click this link

*Eligibility:*
-
Graduated in agronomy, soils, ecology, grassland management, natural
resources management, or environmental science
-
2 years of experience in regenerative agriculture practices in
collaboration with farmers and local supply chains of produce
-
Experience drafting project designs and concept notes

Candidate must be fluent in English and Tamil
*Remuneration:* Rs.30,000 per month with housing/accommodation provided
