*Deputy Program Manager*
WCS-India is looking for a Deputy Project Manager to work with
the project team overseeing progress and administration of the Counter
Wildlife Trafficking (CWT) program.
*Primary Job Responsibilities*
1. Preparation of regular progress reports, letters etc.
2. Coordination of project activities and ensuring timelines/targets are met
3. Oversee development of training material
4. Hire suitable candidates for the CWT team
5. Maintain existing grant proposals and provide technical support for new
proposals
6. Assist in organizing meetings and/or workshops
*Qualifications*
Masters degree in Conservation biology/Economics/Wildlife
Science/Education/Data Sciences/Law and/or allied fields with at least two
years of work experience OR
MBA with one year of work experience OR
Bachelors degree in Wildlife Science/Law and/or allied fields with at least
four years of work experience.
Excellent communication skills, especially English writing skills are a
must.
Knowledge of mapping/design software will be an added asset.
Candidates must demonstrate an interest and understanding for wildlife and
its conservation, and be updated with current issues related to wildlife
trafficking.
*Location: *Bangalore with frequent travel to project states as required.

*Graphic Designer *
WCS-India is looking for a Graphic Designer to create educational and
awareness outreach content for the Counter Wildlife Trafficking (CWT)
Program.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Draft and prepare engaging and innovative infographics, posters and
awareness material for various platforms
2. Provide support in designing and producing multimedia graphics, blog
posts and articles
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelors in Life Sciences/ Mass Comm/Graphic Design/Environmental
Sciences. Candidates with equivalent relevant work experience will also be
considered.
2. Passionate about digital communications
3. Detail-oriented and organized
4. Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and visual
5. Good design skills and a creative flair
6. Familiarity with design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,
etc.)
7. Willingness to learn

*Intern (Political Economy Analysis) *
Location: Guwahati, Assam
WCS-India is looking for an Intern for a duration of 2 months to be a part
of its Counter Wildlife Trafficking (CWT) team. The Political Economy
Analysis study entails identifying and interviewing political parties,
trade agents, police, Forest Department, NGOs and other actors having
significant influence in illegal wildlife trade.
*Qualifications*:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences/Environment/Ecology/Development
Studies/related course. Students pursuing pursuing post-graduate (Masters
Course) courses can also apply
- Must be proficient in Assamese and English/Hindi
- Must be well versed with social survey techniques
- Must be of a calm and composed demeanour
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
- Assist in conducting interviews in Assamese whenever required
- Assist in data mining and analysis of regional media/literature
relevant to the study
- The intern would be required to work from WCS-India’s Guwahati Office
and be available for travelling within and outside Assam, with the CWT team
as and when necessary
