Scientific writing is an academic skill of paramount importance.  It is
absolutely essential for every aspiring researcher to master the art of
writing clearly, concisely and logically to communicate their findings to
the rest of the world.



The nature and format of writing may vary depending upon the purpose of the
writing and the target audience. Research paper, Review Paper, Research
Report, Project Proposals, Application for Patent may require different
writing styles because their motives are different.



The Nature’s Eye presents a Two-Day Workshop on Scientific Writing for
everybody who wishes to take a tiny sneak-peek into the world of research
by learning and honing their scientific writing skills. Join the workshop
to enhance your academic skills!

About the speaker :

Dr. Jayaditya Purkayastha is a wildlife biologist with his area of interest
being the taxonomy and systematics of amphibians and reptiles of Northeast
India. He is also interested in studying the impact of urbanisation on the
biodiversity living in and around the cities.

Some highlights of his studies and work:

● He has done his Ph.D. from the Zoology Department of Gauhati University.

● Has published 80 scientific articles mainly pertaining to amphibians and
reptiles and also has described 14 new species.

● Authored 5 books.
● He is the General Secretary of a green NGO Help Earth and a member of the
Amphibian Network of South Asia; IUCN/SSC, Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle
Specialist Group; IUCN/SSC, Skink Specialist Group and Indian Birds
Conservation Network.He is currently working as a Consultant for the Assam
State Biodiversity Board.
