Science in Ecology in India' my new book co-authored with friend and
colleague Naveen Thayyil.
SYNOPSIS: Based on research conducted over a year and a half, this
(mini) book is the first account of its kind that documents, maps and
analyses the rapidly growing field of Citizen Science in ecology in India.
Located within the broad academic fields of ‘Science and Technology
Studies’ and the ‘Sociology of Knowledge’, it is a 2nd order study that
engages with the assumptions, conceptualisations, methods and the
institutions that constitute Citizen Science projects in India. It
