Centre for Water Resource Management (CWRM) at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad is
recruiting a Post-doctoral Fellow for one year for the project
“Rejuvenation of existing water bodies and identification of suitable
locations for storing surface water for sustainable water supply in Dhanbad
Municipal Corporation Area”.
Job Description: The job involves frequent visits to the water scarce
regions in the study area for the purpose of data collection. There can be
occasional visits to the mining areas with other experts for geophysical
surveys. The job also requires extensive analysis of the Remote Sensing
data and GIS based mapping. The candidate is expected to communicate with
various local administrative bodies for demographic data collection and
should design field work for data collection. Candidate should actively
work on manuscript development with PI, Co-PIs, and other project advisors.
Essential Qualification: Ph. D. in Environmental Science, Environmental
Engineering, Water Resource Management, with an extensive working
experience in hydrological and geospatial survey, modelling, and mapping
expertise. The candidate should have at least two Publications in the
SCI/SCIE journals as first author.
