Postdoctoral position, Department of Biotechnology grant, Genomics of
invasive *Lantana Camara *in Indian tiger reserves (NCBS)

We seek a qualified postdoctoral fellow to investigate the genomics of *Lantana
camara*, an invasive plant that has spread through several habitats in the
Indian subcontinent. This is a collaborative project between the Global
Tiger Forum and the National Centre for Biological Sciences, funded by the
DBT. The goal will be to start by collecting short and long read data for
*Lantana*, and analyzing genomic variability in several Indian tiger
reserves. The project is for a period of 1.5 years.

The ideal candidate will have significant skills in plant genomics and
bioinformatics. This position does not involve any fieldwork, but mainly
bioinformatics including genome assembly, population genomic analyses and
other such activities. The selected candidate will work collaboratively
between the groups of Dr. Sowdhamini and Dr. Uma Ramakrishnan at NCBS. If
you are interested, please send your CV with a brief summary of relevant
experience (one page only) to uramakri@xxxxxxxxxxx and mini@xxxxxxxxxxx by
the 1st of October, 2019.
