ReefWatch is looking for a stellar *Communications Coordinator* to work on
our projects big to small, aimed at creating awareness and & engagement for
ReefWatch, working closely with the Executive Director as well as the Board
and Project teams. *The Communications Coordinator will be based out of our
Mumbai office. *

The ideal candidate has 3 years of relevant experience working for
non-profit organization(s), as well as basic working knowledge of Indian
and global marine conservation issues, and is a self starting, enterprising
individual who doesn’t require constant assistance.

The Communications Coordinator will be a key contributor in driving
awareness across ReefWatch’s network, social, print and electronic media,
as well as the world at large. We are looking for someone who naturally
blends being a team player with leadership abilities. The right candidate
has a deep passion for conservation storytelling and the human actions that
are shaping our natural world today. You should be able to think outside
the box, are resourceful, and excited about the *ReefWatch mission* and the
opportunity to introduce our work to new audiences.

Role details:

   - Develop and implement ReefWatch’s overall communications strategy;
   - Maintain press lists, developing relationships with reporters and
   editors, and reach out to the press on behalf of the Executive Director and
   program staff;
   - Write and/or review press releases, op-eds, blog posts and other
   materials;
   - Expand Reefwatch presence and influence through social media; post
   updates to ReefWatch blog and website and help to update website
   periodically;
   - Work with ReefWatch team to develop messaging and implement targeted
   communications campaigns around priority issues;
   - Implement project activities and supporting / coordinating ReefWatch
   programs
   - Work with the team to produce program management and financial reports
   - Conduct outreach to Reefwatch allies and the public at large
   - Coordinate strategic partnerships and liaise with all current and
   prospective ReefWatch donors and funders
   - Connect opportunities throughout the Non Profit and For Profit network
   in sourcing of partnerships, and to grow awareness in key markets needing
   exposure (Ecotourism, Education, Corporate Social Responsibility)
   - Build an expanding network of strategic relationships with key
   activists, conservationists, business and community leaders, and other
   organizations and individuals to help advance the ReefWatch mission
   - Help to improve internal communications within the organization
