Can you please circulate this survey on YETI.

Dear fellow researchers and friends,

We invite all of you to participate in a survey that aims to capture
the workplace environment in conservation/environment academic circles in
India.

Workplace harassment and wellbeing are indeed two ends of the spectrum – a
spectrum that encapsulates how our everyday workplace affects our state of
mental and physical wellbeing. Surveys in other countries have shown that
stress levels from an intense workload and other factors contribute to a
low wellbeing score within academia.

Here is a link to the survey: https://goo.gl/forms/PxaG2kAKegREH4sj2

PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR RESPONSE BEFORE 31st January 2019.

This survey is a conducted in continuation of the pilot survey during
conducted during the SCCS conference at Bangalore in 2018 and we received
226 responses to the pilot survey. Please read this commentary to get a
snapshot of the initial results:

According to the pilot survey, *more than half (58 percent) of the
respondents had experienced negative interactions* (to varying extents) in
the workplace.

We wish to circulate this survey among a wider audience; we believe that we
require more data about this issue from an Indian perspective. We hope that
the survey results will make the conservation community in India and our
Institutions aware of the scale of the issue, and finally we hope that we
can use these results and inputs to put in place effective redressal
systems to address workplace harassment.

Please spread the word. Please also write in to us about any successful
redressal mechanisms you have encountered, it will help us collate
resources on the issue which can translate into action.

Thank you for your time and effort.
