We are seeking two volunteers for the ongoing project of Sàlim Ali Centre
for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON) on “Assessing anthropogenic
threats to large mammals in the Western Ghats, Tamil Nadu”. The work
profile mainly involves conducting field surveys on the human-wildlife
conflict in Sathyamangalam and Coimbatore landscape, Tamil Nadu. Candidate
is required to have interest in large mammal research and capable of
working effectively in the field with basic field accommodation as a team
member. The work period is for 6 months and the intern will be paid
incentives depending upon their work. Field logistic support including
local transport, food and accommodation will be taken care by the project.
Candidates with Tamil fluency and preferably two wheeler license are
encouraged to apply.
