WWF India has a growing marine conservation programme with a focus on
promoting sustainable fisheries, conserving threatened marine species &
habitats, as well as promoting effective planning and management on land
and sea. Within these strategic areas, geographic priorities include the
states of Gujarat, Kerala, Goa, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and
Lakshadweep. In achieving our conservation objectives, WWF works with a
wide range of stakeholders including local communities, NGOs, government
agencies, research institutions and corporates.
WWF India has exciting new projects planned in Odisha, for which a
committed individual, with a keen interest in marine issues and coastal
communities, is required. The successful individual will be a part of the
Marine Conservation Programme. The position will be based in Bhubaneswar.
The projects would involve working on issues related to marine megafauna,
marine plastics, mangrove conservation, fisheries management and blue
economy. They will work closely with the Programme coordinator to implement
marine projects in Odisha.
