Greetings!

My name is Jayant Khera, Assistant Manager-Projects at NH Consulting Pvt.
Ltd., New Delhi. I am the project coordinator for a project funded by
Karnataka Biodiversity Board . In this project we have a team of scientific
and field research enthusiasts working in the domain of Natural Resources
Management, Biodiversity, Wild life and Environment.

Allow me to brief you a little bit on our project. Under the Biological
Diversity Act (2002), state has to form Biodiversity Management Committees
at Block level and Gram Panchayat (Village level) and have to prepare an
elaborate document called People's Biodiversity Register, which will have
details of complete biodiversity of the area as well as traditional
knowledge related to it. Under the same act we have been assigned with the
work of capacity building of Biodiversity Management Committees and
preparation of People's Biodiversity Register for *Haveri & Bellari
District of Karnataka*.

To complete this work we need efficient professionals who can work
extensively on field and conduct PRA, local interviews (traditional
knowledge) and transect walks to collate the data on flora, fauna and other
biodiversity markers. We prefer graduates, post graduates in the field of
Natural Resources Management/Wildlife/Social work/Anthropology/Life
Sciences/Zoologist/Botanist. The candidates will be mainly engaged on the
field for 12 months as per the work requirement.

It is with this objective that we are reaching out to team YETI for
helping us spread our requirements among the network on individuals who
wish to undertake such a project.
