Dear All,
The Terrestrial Ecology Division of Gujarat Institute of Desert Ecology
(GUIDE), Bhuj, is looking for interns with keen interest in wildlife
research, data processing and data analysis. The position is for candidates
interested in learning data collection and collation from online sources
and data analysis in ecological context. It will involve learning and
applying data collection and statistical methods for analysis of that data.
You will also get chance to be a co-author of the publication form that
work, purely based on your performance during the internship time period.
This position is flexible and can be done either office-based or work from
home depending on the applicant’s choice.
*Location:* Bhuj, Kachchh, Gujarat
*Requirements:*
· Ability to commit minimum of two months
· Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly
MS-Excel) and internet browsing
· Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
· Passionate about wildlife, interested in learning
· Extremely organized and can handle large datasets
· Interest in good peer reviewed publication
· Candidates from Gujarat are highly encouraged to apply and will
be preferred
· Fluency in English, Hindi and Gujarati will be an added advantage
· A bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in biological sciences/Social sciences
or past experience with similar projects
