Centre for Environment and Social Concerns (https://cesc-india.org), a
not-for-profit inter-disciplinary resource center registered as Charitable
Public Trust, is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
CESC invites applications for “*Senior Project Fellow*” for an ongoing
research project on “Promoting the Integration of Ecosystem Services and
Sustainable Development Goals in Rupen River Basin, Gujarat”. The project
duration is one year (January to December 2023).
Person should have post-graduate degree in ecology, environmental science,
biodiversity, climate change, natural resource management, development
studies or other related disciplines from a reputed academic institution.
Person should also have about two years of field-based research experience in
the themes around the water. Practical knowledge of GIS and spoken
Gujarati language are desirable.
The person is required to (i) design and conduct desk reviews and
field-based research to map ecosystem services of different water systems
in the Rupen River basin; (ii) secondary data collection from relevant
Government Departments and agencies and (iii) analyzing the data and
prepare progress reports.
Salary is negotiable and based on qualification and experience.
