*Hi Amazing Nature Lovers,*
It gives us immense pleasure to share with you that India is going to take
part in the world’s largest nature challenge - City Nature Challenge - this
year for the first time and we need your support to make this event a big
success.
Citizen scientists play a very vital role in helping to save the planet,
they are everyday people who use their observations to contribute to
scientific research. We are taking this event as an amazing opportunity to
bring in many new volunteers who have their interest in contributing to
nature to participate and become citizen scientists.
*City Nature Challenge, happening from 28th April till 1st May, is an
annual four-day global bioblitz. For this challenge we need volunteers
interested in nature & wildlife. They just have to observe nature around
them, click photos of any plants or animals & share them on the iNaturalist
app. *Observations uploaded on this app makes an impact on understanding
biodiversity and coexisting with nature. These observations will be
analyzed by a scientific community and used in research, natural resource
management and even policy making by the Government.
*Are you from Hyderabad?*
This year many Indian cities are taking part in this challenge and
WWF-India is organizing this event in Hyderabad. To take part in the
