Dear All,
This is an opening for a volunteering opportunity in a study on cetaceans
based from Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The study involves
undertaking systematic vessel-based line-transect surveys to observe
cetacean diversity and distribution. Period of volunteering is for a
minimum of three and maximum of five months starting January 2018. Basic
food and accommodation will be provided.
Requirements:
1. M.Sc <http://1.m.sc/> degree in biological sciences.
2.Should be comfortable with early morning surveys and spending long
durations at sea.
3.Prior experience in distance-sampling methods (not mandatory).
4. Should know how to ride a two-wheeler.
Responsibilities:
1. Vessel-based data collection as part of a three-member team.
2. Data entry.
