Dear YETI members
This is to advertise a volunteering opportunity for "Ecological study
on insectivorous bats species in northern Western Ghats of
Maharashtra" starting from first week of April 2015. Field
work involves laying out mist nets, harp traps, recording echolocation
calls in the forests of northern Western Ghats for a minimum period of
3 months. All equipment, logistics, etc. will be taken care of by the
Institute. Work involves working through the night in remote locations
and long treks on forts and old temples.The participants will be given
a certificate of work experience and a letter of commendation from the
Institute for their participation, along with an acknowledgement in
all publications resulting from the work and there are opportunities
for additional work if the volunteer willing to.
