Dear Sutirtho,
I will be grateful if you would let me know of students interested in
aquatic ecology/cetacean ecology, we can provide support for
internship/volunteers.
The work involves survey and monitoring of the Ganges river dolphin in the
Ganga, Brahmaputra and their tributaries.
We use advanced technologies to monitor the dolphin behaviour through
ultrsound recorders, habitat monitoring also involves use of advanced
instruements, so individuals with an aptitude for scientific gadgets are
especially welcome. Though there is more than enough to keep busy a
"binocular" field naturalist (like me!) too.
Work can begin as soon as a person is ready. We expect a lot of work for
the months of February and March, so people are welcome specially for
these two months.
We currently need people to work in Bihar, but all individuals who find the
work/species/rivers interesting may contact. We have requirments which is
likely to accomodate most volunteers.
