Dear All,
The
Wildlife Conservation Society-India Program and its partner Centre for
Wildlife Studies are likely to conduct line transect surveys for
monitoring large mammal populations in Amrabad Tiger Reserve -
Telangana in the months of April and May.
Interested may apply to volunteer for the same.
Simple vegetarian food and rudimentary field accommodation will be
provided to the participants.
Travel expenses to and from the
field
locations will have to be borne by the participants.
Applicants must be over 18 years, physically very fit, and preference
will be given to those who have some experience in hiking through
forests and rough terrain.
Very strict camp discipline
will
be observed. Given below is a list of things that you are required to bring.
1. Stamp size (or Passport size) photographs (2) and One Valid Identity card
2.
Sun c
ap/hat
3. Water bottle (one litre or half litre)
4. Shirts (full sleeves) and trousers (grey, khaki and green ;
strictly avoid
white, red or
any other bright coloured attire
)
5. Good pair of walking shoes.
6. Digital Wrist watch
7. Sleeping bag
8. Torch
9. Good pair of binoculars

email with the subject line “Application: Transect Survey Assistant,
Apr 2017” indicating the dates (for the months of April - May 2017)
you wish to participate in our surveys. Participants
are required
to commit to a minimum of one week and batch
cycle
will be from Saturday

Saturday.

The final selection of survey assistants will be decided by us based
on the slots available in each batch.
