Forestry Alumni Association, Ponnampet - FORAL invites you for a Workshop on
*"Forestry Research, Education and Extension: present Scenario and Future
Prospects"*
- a policy documentation workshop.
Though practicing Scientific Forestry existed more than a century ago,
Forestry education in University level started only in the year 1985 in
Agricultural Universities. Now we have around 23 institutes in India which
impart Forestry Education. Change and revival in structure is part of
Education system. Twenty Five batches have been completed in imparting
Forestry Education covering detailed study in Silviculture, Management,
Utilization, Forest Biology, Tree Improvement and Wildlife.
To have a review on Research, Education and Extension in forestry, a
workshop is being organized by FORAL to develop a Policy document with
suggestions on improvement.
Eminent Personalities, Scientists, Researchers, Academicians,
Representatives from different Discipline within forestry have been invited
for a talk. We would like your gracious presence for the event and provide
your valuable suggestions during the discussion and plenary sessions. A
policy document would be prepared on the occasion of the event
