WRCS is working on long-term research and conservation of forest owlet
in Central India (www.wrcsinida.org) Very soon we are starting a
long-term project on ecology of forest owlet in Melghat forests. Melghat
forests supports the highest population of forest owlet and it is an
unstudied population. The project will be examining the ecological
co-relates of Forest Owlet in Melghat. It is a 4 year project so only
those individuals who can commit for the entire duration should apply.
The field work will be done an a 2 wheeler in a rugged terrain so the
applicant should have a permanent licence for driving 2 and 4 wheeler.
We are looking for individuals who are seriously interested in ecology
and working in the field. A B.Sc or .M.Sc degree in Ecology would be
preferred. However, person having degree in different background can
also apply provided there is an aptitude and interest in working in the
field of ecology. Excellent writing and analytical skill is desirable.
