Much like Trump's infrastructure plan, here's an example of something the

Hey, didn't the lefties complain bitterly when our FCC Chairman said that
media ownership caps need to be abolished? They sure did. Exact motives
aside, Trump is doing what the lefties should prefer.
This is another example which suggests to me, Trump's views on telecom
neutrality mandates might not be what the formula thinkers say they are. I
have to wonder whether Chairman Pai ever tried to educate Trump on this, or
whether the Chairman is exploiting Trump's confusion on the matter, to
further his own activist and corrupt goals.
What has this got to do with the article and the anti-trust case Bert?
Please stop the dump formula think - we all know how much you hate the current
administration and everything it does.
Your time would be better spent actually looking at the facts.
I do not have access to the full WSJ article as I am not a subscriber. My
educated guess is that Bert did not read the full article either. If he had, he
might have posted something more meaningful. I did find this money.cnn.com
article on the same subject:
http://money.cnn.com/2018/02/14/media/makan-delrahim-witness-att-time-warner/index.html
And what do we learn in this article?
If it does call Delrahim, AT&T may be doing so as part of a strategy to
portray the lawsuit as motivated by unfair targeting and not due to any
antitrust concerns, experts told CNN.
Delrahim lobbied on behalf of Comcast in 2009 and 2010, when it was acquiring
NBC Universal, according to public filings. The government eventually
approved that deal.
Antitrust experts told CNN that AT&T's decision to include Delrahim on the
list is likely a strategic signaling move, but that it could be risky to
actually put him on the stand.
Bert loves to criticize Chairman Pai and other FCC commissioners who had former
lives as lobbyists for the special interests he despises. Funny that the head
of the antitrust division challenging the AT&T/Time Warner merger lobbied on
behalf of Comcast in the Comcast/NBC Universal merger.
The real issue here is about “Joining The TV content oligopoly club.”
Today, the club members include:
Disney - ABC/ESPN
Comcast - NBC Universal
Viacom/CBS - in the process of recombining as one entity
Time Warner
News Corp - Fox Network and Fox News - Disney just bought the rest.
Bottom line, Comcast is the only company in this group with feet and both the
content and the communications infrastructure markets.
And they want to keep it that way...
Regards
Craig
