I believe that it is relatively easy to develop templates for the iPad, using third party tools that require them. For example, we are using a web based newsletter program for the brewery and have an iPAD in the tasting room for people to sign up for the newsletter. The app is a simple web page that logs in your name and e-mail address. If there is no connectivity it stores the data until there is a connection to send it to the server running the e-mail program.

I'm fairly certain that simple programming tools for consumers to program their tablets are already in development...
