And by the way, aside from being corrupt, this Chairman has proved to be one
heck of a hypocrite. With all his talk about government overreach, the way
this libertarian yahoo tries to stifle the initiatives of individual states
tells it all. He's simply run amuck.
That was written into the 1996n Telecommunications Act, as the Chairman stated
yesterday.
I had said before that the states have no standing in this matter, but that was
specifically about the threat from the NY Attorney General to investigate the
spoofed submissions in the proceeding.
Clearly the state have standing if they want to challenge the provisions of
this order that block them from creating state level net neutrality rules. No
doubt there will be a court challenge to this.
If you had listened to the meeting yesterday, you would have heard a. Well
informed discussion by one of the Republican Commissioners regarding this
issue, and why the FCC believes that they will prevail in any such litigation.
When I can access the comments of the other two Republican commissioners I will
find the comments and post them.
Regards
Craig
